Welcome to this celebration of the unfiltered self, in which Courtney May Robertson searches for radical acceptance. A rider taming a wild horse; this metaphor for self-control fascinates Courtney. In that image she sees a struggle between embracing our primitive desires and regulating our behavior in accordance with societal pressures. In this piece, she attempts to embrace contradictions that make up a multifaceted human.
